Companies House filing
Direct electronic submission to Companies House via the official XML Software Filing Gateway.
WebFiling submits filings electronically to Companies House on your behalf, using the same XML Software Filing Gateway used by major accountancy and company secretarial software. Submissions are processed in real time and a transaction reference is returned immediately on acceptance.
How electronic filing works
When you prepare a filing in WebFiling — whether a confirmation statement, a set of accounts, or a new incorporation — the platform constructs the required XML payload, applies the presenter credentials, and submits it to the Companies House gateway. You do not need your own presenter account with Companies House Software Filing. WebFiling handles the technical channel.
Companies House validates the submission against their schema and business rules. Accepted filings return a transaction reference number that appears immediately in your WebFiling account. Rejected submissions return a rejection reason so you can identify and correct the issue and resubmit.
